MEETINGS AT THE GARDENS:June 4 and 5, 2022 Villandry is once again taking part in the Rendez-vous aux jardins, around the national theme “Gardens facing climate change”. This event, intended to promote the many public and private parks and gardens in France, invites as many people as possible to (re)discover the gardens and to raise awareness of the importance of maintaining and preserving this inheritance. Throughout the weekend, entertainment will punctuate and enhance the visit.

As the day wanes under the fires of the setting sun, the gardens are adorned with light under the flames of more than 2000 candles. On the four levels of terraces, the promenade promises to be dreamlike…For the most curious, guided tours will be an opportunity to discover the history of the gardens, from the Renaissance to the present day.

In the heart of the gardens, the Château de Villandry invites young and old to spend Christmas in a family home with a warm and friendly atmosphere. While a festive atmosphere takes over each room, nature invites itself to the castle. Reindeer, fawns, owls and squirrels... in the plant decorations designed for this occasion in the castle, the inhabitants are waiting for you to celebrate Christmas!
